Friend's Wedding Planner Part-2

Hey guys! I wrote in my last post about planning your friend's or best buddy's wedding, which will make a difference with its uniqueness. Your friend finds you the most reliable and helpful person on his/her big day! And you want your friend's wedding night, an event to cherish forever.

Here are some more friend's wedding ideas:

# Wedding Invitation: In any big event, an invitation holds a very important position. The guests should know that they're invited and where to attend the gala ceremony. You don't want any confusion over the party time and celebration for your guests. In that case, wedding invitations are the most important way to show the guests that they are the most important people in the world to you. Of course the invitation can come in many shapes, sizes, colors, designs and so forth, so it's important to communicate to the Printing Company what you are looking for.The Invitations will mirror the feeling of the event, and show a bit of your own personality through the Wedding Card.

# A wedding without the perfect food is unimaginable! You want the cuisine and drinks to be delicious and special, so that your guests walk away feeling special! It is always a good idea to hire an expert caterer who employ the magic of great cooks and chefs. These caterers come in all shapes and sizes. Based on the theme, there are caterers who can provide food for your event, such as, Italian, French, Asian, American, Southwest, Seafood etc. The choices are endless.

# A wedding minus flowers is unthinkable, so do not forget to arrange for your friend's favorite flowers on their big day. Flowers can brighten up any dull place and has magical properties! It is a must for any wedding. For a beautiful and professional floral arrangement, only the best and brightest florists can fit the bill. A florist is responsible not just to set out flowers but to create
exquisite floral arrangements that are sure to draw, high appreciations from your guests!

# Wedding Make-up: On her most important day, every bride wants to look her very best, and your dear friend is no exception! Her make-up should be perfect and for that, you need to assign her to a professional make-up artist, who can make your friend look stunning! A professional will groom her with the latest in beauty and health business, which will make her look radiant.

# A wedding needs music to come to a full circle. You can get speakers and music systems for your friend's wedding in the first place, but wouldn't it be more lively and memorable if you can arrange for a live band or orchestra? You can get different wedding bands that will play your favorite music.
More to come later!

Friend's Wedding Planner Part-1

Your friend's wedding is that grand occasion in which you have the biggest role to play. Imagine that your friend or best buddy is getting married in a span of few days and you have so little time left in your hand! You don't want to miss out on any action and you want to surprise your friend in a big way. What would you do?

Well! here are some great ideas that'll make your friend's wedding an event to remember:

# Coordinate all the details of the wedding beforehand. In this way, you'll not have to rush on the BIG day! Make your friend's wedding memorable for him or her by talking with a wedding and events planner much before the wedding. Wedding planners will take charge of the entire event and come up with unique ideas for your friend's wedding. Discuss all details that you want in the wedding, like your friend's favorite color, flowers, music, food etc.

# Decide on the theme of the wedding party. There are themes galore, so discuss it with your friend as well as the wedding planner. Popular themes for your friend's wedding would be-A Wedding by the Sea Wedding Theme, Royalty Wedding Theme, Antony and Cleopatra Wedding Theme, Fairytale Wedding Theme, Elvis Wedding Theme, Romeo and Juliet Wedding Theme, and Lancelot and Geuenivere Wedding Theme.

# There's a reason why the first thing a bride does after the proposal is look for the perfect Bridal Gown. The Wedding Dress is the formal attire your friend will be wearing during the wedding album shoot and it's something to be commemorated for the rest of her life. She wants to look gorgeous, radiant and sexy. Bridal Gowns range in styles from, simple and elegant to flashy and outlandish and everywhere in between. Chances are the Bridal Gown vendor will have an off the shelf gown to fit the personality and tastes of most brides. Just in case an off the shelf gown doesn't suit your friend, she can have a Bridal Dress custom made to her exact specifications.

# Your friend's wedding is one of the most memorable events of your life and you want to keep the memories afresh for years to come. This is when you'll need a qualified and professional photographer, who can capture the magical moments of your friend's life, so you can relive them over and over. So if you need to find the perfect Wedding Photographer or Event Photographer whose style will mystify your friend's wedding!

Best Friends

"Best friends are the siblings God forgot to give us.” The term 'best friend' has a deeper connotation. Best friends are not only the people with whom you share your joys and sorrows, but they are very much like your own family members. You cannot live without them. We start making friends right from our school days and casual friendships develop into strong friendship bonds. But we do not have multiple best friends. We only have one best friend, and we have a lofty place for them in our hearts.

If we are truly lucky, we get friends who stay on with us throughout our life. They go on to become our best friends; somebody whom we can rely upon; somebody who gives us moral support and precious guidance. Best friends go on to leave a permanent footprint on us. They are like precious diamonds, rare and eternal. Best friends bring out the best from you. They are your best judge and critic. They will warn you against any impending danger and counsel you in all difficulties. When you achieve something great, they will bask in your glory.

To make one true friend is by far the toughest undertaking of one's life. As one author has said, "It takes years to build up trust, and just seconds to destroy it." We should not let petty reasons and jealousy to stand between our way of friendship. Instead, we should try to make our bond stronger with every passing day.

Long-Distance Friendship Part-2

Yesterday I talked about how to maintain contact with your friends who are living far away. Let me give you few more ideas which will keep your friendship ticking, even if you are miles apart from your friends and dear ones.

# There may be several occasions in your friend's life in which you cannot participate in, like their birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and you just can’t be there in person to celebrate. In situations like these, you can send a small gift to them wrapped nicely in gift wrappers, which will be a token of your wonderful friendship. For instance, if a friend has recently given birth, you can send a magazine subscription to a parents magazine. Similarly, you can send small books on friendship, newspaper or magazine clippings on an area that interests your friend, small candles, lotions and oils, scented soaps, or anything luxurious to show that you care for your friend.

# A great way to keep in touch with your distant friends is planning get togethers once in a year. You can plan a fixed time of the year, so that all your friends know about it and you all go for a great trip! Camping with your friends would be great fun. Other than that, you can have fun in group activities such as boating, swimming, campfires, bar-b-ques, and the like. Adult slumber parties are also great fun as you get to remember old fun!

# If you happen to visit the city that your dear friend lives in, do not forget to drop by his or her place. Whether it is a business trip or a casual holiday, you can take out few hours from your busy schedule and meet up with your friend. They will appreciate the fact that you have not forgotten them. If you feel that they might not be available at home, call them up, or pay a surprise visit!

With little effort from both sides, we can keep the flame of love and friendship alive through years. If the ties of friendship are strong, then distance cannot douse that flame.

Long-Distance Friendship Part-1

We can actually count our closest pals in one hand. We get to interact with some of our friends, finding time from our busy schedules, while with some friends, we have no choice but to maintain a long distance friendship or relationship. time and distance have a way of putting dents in relationships that you once thought would never end. Life becomes very busy after high-school or college. Without conscious effort, work, husbands, family, pets, and hobbies begin to take precedence over old friendships and become excuses as to why we don’t keep in touch. But let’s face it, our lives are fuller with friends! And although we become busier and busier every day, it’s a fact that we can be close with our friends, even if they live far away.

We would always love to rekindle an old friendship, and make efforts to keep in touch with our old friends who are living far away for some reason. If you want, you can come up with very good ideas to keep your friendship alive. Soon you will have rewarding results. Remember, friendship is not a liability, it's relation that needs constant nourishment from both sides.

Here are some ideas that will keep your long-distance friendship young and fresh forever:

# You may not have the time to call up your friends every evening after you get back from work, but you can definitely do so once in a month. Call up each of your friends living in different places and ask how are they doing or whether it is possible to plan a get together. Be sure to keep your address book updated with current phone numbers and addresses, as it becomes more difficult and time consuming to keep in touch when you have old numbers. You’ll soon find that they are picking up on the pattern, and soon they will return the gesture just as often!

# In the ever growing world of internet, take advantage of the email. It is by far the fastest and easiest ways to communicate with your friends and keep in touch with them in any part of the world. People love to receive new mail, and you’ll find that they will reply to your message more often times than not! This is also a great way to set up lunch dates, or weekend getaways with groups of friends.

# Now, in this age of email and technology, don't forget that handwritten notes and cards have their old charm! Nothing can replace a nice card filled with handwritten words by you or a sweet note reminding your friends of your friendship. They will be touched by nostalgia. Alternatively, you can also send cute and funky e-cards to your friends, which are great and conveys all that you want to say to your friends.

Missing You Friend Greeting Cards

Childhood Friends

Friendship between two children is the purest form of friendship. There is no dirt, hidden motive, or meanness involved between children. Our childhood friends are our greatest treasures and we feel proud of them. Friendship between two kids slowly transform into deep friendship in the future. We rely and need our childhood friends in our day to day life. When undertaking a serious task, we seek advice from our closest pals. We rely heavily on their selflessness. Childhood friendship is all about mutual love, trust and reciprocation.

We break down when there is a rift with our childhood friends. They are very much a part of our household. So, we should be careful not to behave in an indifferent manner with them or harbor any sort of jealousy. Breaking up with your closest friend is like a handicapped person walking without the stick. Imagine living all alone without a true friend! My heart still bleeds for my long lost childhood friend, with whom I shared all joys and sorrows. I know that he is doing fine and is successful, but I have lost touch with him! Now, here lies the tragedy. You really wish that you remain friends forever, but your wish does not always come true. However, I take pride in the fact that my childhood friend is going great and I recollect all those cute and wonderful years that I have spent with him.

Sometimes, even if you don't wish, you lose contact with your childhood friends, precisely, you are a victim of circumstances. But do not feel guilty about it. If you can, try to find out your childhood friends by writing in newspapers, or speaking to people who know about them. If you are one of those lucky few to have contact with all your childhood friends, then make sure that your bond grows strong every day. Remember, that your childhood friends are precious!

Friendship Poems

Friendship is a relation which is created by God and cannot be broken by a trivial casue. Send these inspiring poems to your friend on friendship day or on their birthdays to make them feel loved and special. If your friend has got distanced from you or feeling low, these poems on the value of friendship will surely uplift their spirit.

1) It takes more than caring
To be a real friend;
The nature of friendship;
Requires a blend
Of warmest compassion
And love deep and true
To reach and to comfort
The way that you do.
Because I can see
That your kind of friendship
Is priceless to me.

2) you'r my friend and that is true,
but the gift was given from me to you.
we went thru moments that were good and bad,
even moments that were happy and sad.
you suported me when i was in tears,
we stuck together when we were in fear,

its really sad that it had to be this way,
but it has reached its very last day.
miles away cant keep us apart,
'cause you'll always be in my heart.

3)It may not be the same,
But some things never change.
I feel it and I trust it,
I still believe in forever
Because that's what my heart knows.

Memories are the dew drops on our petals
That re-open the buds that have closed.
Flowers wilt as seasons change,
Though they grow a little more with rain.

The sun will shine when in need,
And left behind, a precious seed.

4) A Friend is a Treasure
A friend is someone we turn to,
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure,
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives,
with beauty, joy and grace.
And make the world we live in,
a better and happier place.

Tips and ideas for making friendship

Who does not want to make friends? No human being can survive without a friend in this world! We all need friends to make our lives enjoyable and worth living. A world without a friend seems dull and colorless. But it is not very easy to make friends and maintain that friendship. You have to be careful in your approach when making friends. Sometimes we end up making lot of friends and at other times, we fail to have one good friend! However, friends like books, should be few and well chosen. If we have too many friends, we might have occasional differences of opinion and arguments, but if we have one or two trusted friends, we have a true companion, who clearly understands us and guides us from all trouble.

Making friends is not always easy. Especially if you are shy to begin with; let's face it, not all of us were born with a natural knack for social grace. People who are chirpy and outgoing, make friends easily. But with that said, there is hope for us yet.

Here's how to become social and make friends:

1)Just be yourself. Don't be afraid to express your opinions. If someone makes a rude remark, just ignore them- they don't know what they're talking about.

2)Be optimistic. Even if you are feeling really down, remember that there's always something out there to smile about. A positive outlook will make people want to be around you more.

3)Crack a joke. Having a sense of humor is important, but don't get too carried away - you have to be serious about some things, sometimes. Smile as much as you can. Signs of encouragement let people know you care about what they are saying.
Share interesting/silly ideas.

4)Listen more rather than talking. Instead of nodding and smiling and occasionally wiping the drool off your face, try to take what the person says and run with it. Add your own thoughts into the mix - but don't hijack the conversation. Start by doing little things if you are very reserved. For example, every time you go to school, work, or wherever, say hello to one person and have a one-on-one conversation with them.

5)If you know nothing about the person you're trying to get to know, say little things like "whats up." If they are hesitant about answering your questions, share something about yourself, such as where you're going or why you're there. Avoid talking about the weather. As Tom Waits says, "strangers talk about the weather." Try a compliment, that is, if you find something worth complimenting.

6)Be patient. If you are still among strangers, the apprehension of a conversation may cause a delay in comments. Don't worry, that will go away in short order. Talk to older people, maybe even your own folks. They will be less likely to ridicule you, therefore making it easier to learn to talk well.

7)Love yourself. It is difficult to like others when you do not appreciate yourself for who you are. Bootstrap yourself and work and play day to night until you feel good about yourself again. Try exercise to improve your self-esteem.

8)Be loyal. Little things count: If you make an appointment, be on time. If you're in a group, show up early, and stay late (even if you don't have anything to say at the moment).

9)Be nice to others. Always give compliments to those, but don't try too hard. If you are shy take a deep breath and risk it. You never know what might happen. Also crack a joke every once in a while. Again if you are shy, but inside crazy, let it out once in a while. Wear your hair up high and spin around, or dance, others will laugh, and find you fun and funny to be with.

10)It's easier to talk to people if you have shared an experience with them. Clearly the friends you have at the moment predominantly talk about interesting things they did in the past.

Tips for reviving ties in case of broken friendship

Our heart bleeds when we break up with our closest of pals. We do not have peace of mind when we suddenly stop talking to our best friends following an unwanted situation or misunderstandings. We may occasionally bump into our friends at all the odd places but we somehow do not get the courage to go up and speak to them. But inwardly we feel extremely bad about it. If we break up with our school or college friends, then we really go through a very rough time. We do not want to snap ties with our dear friends who have stood by us in all our trouble. We try to find different ways to revive our lost bond with our friends.
Our life is not the same anymore when we break up with our friends, who are almost indispensable for us in whatever we do. We need them in whatever we do and feel out of place when that friendship is lost.

Here's a quick checklist to regain that broken friendship--

# One of the quickest ways to revive that old friendship is calling up your friend. Tell him/her that you are really sorry for all that you have done, if you are responsible for the breakup. Once you say sorry, he or she cannot remain estranged for a long time. In case your friend is not picking up the call, go ahead and send a text message saying that you are sorry for your actions.
# You can suddenly land up at his/her place and give them a surprise with a bouquet of flowers, and add a note reminding them of your undying love and affection for them. This will surely break the ice and revive old bonds.
# Insist of meeting up with your friend at some coffee shop, restaurant, or a place which they prefer, and talk openly about the matter. Remember, that most matters are resolved by open and frank conversation and your friends will surely respond if you clearly explain the cause of your disagreement.
# Cook your friend's favorite dish at home and invite him/her for dinner. Leave a sweet text message on their phone saying that you are waiting for them, and do up your home with all their favorite items and photos which reminds them your lost friendship. They are most likely to get emotional.
# If you cannot gather enough courage to call up your friend and say that you are sorry, then you can also send an email, or a nice card with pictures, which speaks volumes about your harmony and friendship. Leaving a message in their answering machine is also a great idea; after all, who does not want to hear a live voice of their friend!
Remember, your friends forgive you at the slightest opportunity and do not want to break up forever. They also need you as much as you need them.

Tips and Ideas To Maintain Friendship

Best friends require one-on-one contact to survive. Telephone calls and getting together are musts for best friends to continue.

In fact, probably the quickest way to end a friendship is to neglect it and sever contact.

Yet it is hard to make time in a busy day and busy life to maintain our friends. But you don't have to have hours to spare to maintain a friendship.

Instead try the following to keep from neglecting your friends:

* Send frequent email. Email is a boon for a quick note.
* Call once a week. Telephone calls do not take long.
* Keep in touch through brief messages left on answering machines.
* Send an occasional card. Funny and/or appropriate cards take minutes to choose and address.
* Exercise together. We all have to exercise. It is more fun with a friend, plus, there is no better
place for talking than a walk in the park.
* Clean house together. This is another must do and two makes cleaning fun instead of boring.
* Send pictures. A picture is still worth a thousand words.
* Go to lunch at least once a month. More often would be better.

Follow the advice of Victoria Rayner, author of The Survival Guide for Today's Career Woman:

* Be a good listener; refrain from offering advice or moralizing.
* Respect your friend's point of view. Different personalities can complement each other; it isn't always necessary to see eye to eye.
* Never betray a trust. Trust, when violated, can ruin even the best friendship.
* Support and praise your friends; ignore their failures and imperfections.
* Never resent a friend's success. Instead, strive to admire her achievements.

Flexibility is always important for maintaining friendships. Be understanding when your friend has a last minute change in plans. Learn to accept "I'm sorry to cancel, but we will have another time together Sunday."

When paths begin to separate (you are married; he isn't or you have a baby; she is still childless) at forks in the road of life, that is the most important time of all to stay in touch with friends.

When there is conflict, it must be resolved for friendship to continue. Confrontation is one way to resolve conflict. Talking it out is another.

A cooling-off period is sometimes necessary when conflict has occurred. Once you reinitiate conflict, it may not even be necessary to discuss the conflict.

Top 10 Friendship Songs

From Bill Lamb,
http://top40.about.com/od/top10lists/tp/friendshipsongs.htm

Friendship seem to be everywhere in pop music. Songs about friendship, a special type of love, are a little more rare. However, there are still many to choose from. Enjoy this list of 10 of the best, and share any of your favorites that you think are left out.
1) You've Got a Friend - James Taylor - 1971

This song was written by Carole King and included on her landmark album Tapestry released in 1971. The definitive version was recorded by King's friend James Taylor and his recording of "You've Got a Friend" hit #1 in 1971. It is Taylor's only #1 pop single.

"You've Got a Friend" has been recorded many times since by artists ranging from Barbra Streisand to Yemeni singer Ofra Haza. Few other songs come close to this song's simple poignance of friends helping and supporting each other.

2) Thank You for Being a Friend - Andrew Gold - 1978

An entire generation knows this song as the theme song to the TV show Golden Girls from a version recorded by Cindy Fee. However, the song first entered the public conscience in a 1978 version by the song's writer, pop musician Andrew Gold. The song is a perfect expression of gratitude to those treasured people we call friends.

) Lean On Me - Bill Withers - 1972

Soul legend Bill Withers introduced this song in the early 1970's It went straight to #1 on the pop chart and became a contemporary pop standard. Club Nouveau took it back to #1 in 1987 with a more upbeat version. The song was written by Paul Hill who later went on to work with many other legendary recording artists. He currently operates the Paul Hill

I'll Be There for You - The Rembrandts - 1995

Best known as the theme song for the TV series Friends, "I'll Be There for You" was written specifically for the show by Michael Skloff and Allee Willis. There were no plans initially to release the song as a single, but demand from fans eventually forced the Rembrandts to record a full-length version and the song, in a commercial version, reached the pop top 20. In a similar vein to the show, "I'll Be There for You" celebrates the humor in friendship.

5) That's What Friends Are For - Dionne Warwick and Friends - 1986

This classic affirmation of the support friendship provides was first recorded by Rod Stewart for the soundtrack to the movie Night Shift in 1982. The song was written by legends Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager. Dionne Warwick entered the studio with Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder to record the song as a benefit for the American Foundation for AIDS Research, and pop music history was made. The single spent 4 weeks at #1 and earned 2 Grammy Awards.

6) Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler - 1989

This song had a rather humble beginning. It was written by Larry Henley and Jeff Silbar and was first recorded in 1982. Lou Rawls brought it into the pop singles chart at #65 in 1983. Country singer Gary Morris took it into the country top 10 the same year. However, it was Bette Midler's performance of the song as a eulogy for a friend in the movie Beaches that made the song an unforgettable classic. "Wind Beneath My Wings" won a Grammy Award for Record of the Year.

7) Beatles - With a Little Help From My Friends - 1967

Yes, indeed, friends can help get you through times of romantic trouble. Just ask Ringo. "With a Little Help From My Friends," in its definitive version by the Beatles, was never released as a single. However, Joe Cocker took a version of the song onto the pop charts in 1968.

8) I Turn to You - Christina Aguilera - 2000

This was the 3rd single from Christina Aguilera's self-titled debut album. Written by Diane Warren, it is a big ballad designed to show off Aguilera's voice. The lyrics are poignant and can be expanded beyond describing a friendship relationship. The song was first recorded by the group All-4-One for the Space Jam soundtrack in 1996.

9) Kind & Generous - Natalie Merchant - 1998

"Kind & Generous" is a multi-purpose thank you song, but it works as an elegant and eloquent thank you to friends.

10) Ben - Michael Jackson - 1972

It may seem odd to include a song written about a boy's friendship with a rat for a sequel to a horror movie in a list of the best friendship songs of all time, but Michael Jackson's "Ben" remains touching and poignant over 30 years later. The song was nominated for an Academy Award and became Michael Jackson's first #1 pop single as a solo artist when he was only 14.
